About

Jan Veal loves everything about faith, family culture, homekeeping, home education, teaching, traveling, nature, the arts, good books, and the seasons of a woman”s life. She is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and a grammy!

Jan has been in the field of education for 33 years. She holds her B.A. and her M.Ed. from the University of Louisville. Jan has taught in the public, private and cooperative school sectors, in addition to home educating her daughters. She is a published author and a professional speaker on the topics of home education, organization and time management. Her family has appeared twice on local television to let reporters come into her home and observe how home education works.

Jan has raised three daughters, home educating them through high school. They each received the top scholarships offered by their respective universities based on their ACT and SAT scores. They are now lovely young women, living their dreams and continuing to amaze her. Jan has gone through three minivans, has been to twenty-five years of dance recitals, and has had enough animals in her home to qualify as a zookeeper. She lives with her husband, Bryan, and her mini-schnauzer, Lucy, in Louisville, KY.
